Install the new sensor on the rim and tighten it to the manufacturer-recommended torque. Reinflate the tyre, balance the wheel and mount it back on the vehicle. Drive the vehicle for several minutes at 15 mph (24 km/h) or more to allow the sensor to register automatically. If your vehicle's ECU does not recognise the sensor, run the TPMS relearn procedure in the vehicle's settings. As a last resort, use an OBD-II TPMS programming tool to force-write the new sensor ID to the ECU. Troubleshooting If the tyre-pressure warning lamp stays illuminate.
