Right Hand DHS Bonnet Actuator, Mk4. DHS (Deployable Hood System), is a pedestrian safety feature that reduces the risk of serious injury for pedestrians when involved in a frontal collision. Sensors in the front bumper react in milliseconds when a collision occurs with a pedestrian, deploying the hydraulic actuators under the bonnet to increase the space between the bonnet and the engine.
