Probably a new carb that got robbed of all its parts, but the body is the part that wears & is a handy part to have to get your car running sharpe again. Where the brass pin holds the butterfly is where these wear & then unwanted air will mess up the mixture. Stamped as a C1295, the book shows this as 1952 Velox, but if you change the jetting to yours, it will do the job on other models. All details shown from the Zenith book.
