This DEM (Differential Electronic Module) is a common fault for the Volvo S60/V70/XC70/XC90 which causes the differential system to fail during driving and aggressive wheel spin from standing start. Scanning the vehicle with diagnostics will reveal that the DEM cannot establish communications.
