In order to replace the lower king pin bush the sealing cap must be driven out of the lower end of the steering knuckle / spindle assembly. Once the king pins have been overhauled it is imperative that a new sealing cap is installed to prevent the ingress of dirt which will cause premature failure of the lower king pin.
